Have this message popping up ?
I don't even see how to open the darn thing ??? I've been using it for almost 3 years, and never had to replace it ? What type battery does it take, and how do I open the darn thing ?
Will post a pic, in case their are different ones...

Hey the fob is simple to open. Remove the physical key and you will see a notch. Stick the physical key in the notch and wiggle it and the plastic casing will open. If you do not feel comfortable you can also take the fob to your dealership and I'm sure the parts department will assist you.
In terms of the battery it is a CR2032
For reference I will attach the battery photo.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

There is a mechanical key that is attached to the key ring. You need to slide the tab next to the key and pull it out. The case can then be gently pulled apart to gain access to the CR2032 battery.

Awesome :) Plus, I have about 18 of those batteries at the house :) I think I ordered 20 for $11.99

I actually had a popup message on my dash display that said "Key Battery Low"
Surprised me. I've never seen that before.

The car will alert you when the battery is low. Replace with CR2032. It’s a good idea to have couple of spares on hand.

Since I have more than a dozen battery operated sensors/remotes that use CR2032s, I always have a supply on hand.
