Hope this isn't a duplicate post...Just found these links that say the Kentucky Highway is destined for Panama with an ETA of 5/19/09.

Let's hope it's loaded to the hilt with 2010's !!!

Here's the Marine Tracking link (last update 5/13/09):

Here's a link with some voyage related info:

And finally, photos of the ship.

I take it to mean it's ETA for Balboa, Panama is May 19th.

I read somewhere it could take 8 to 10 hours to go thru the canal but its dependent on vessel size and speed.

Yeah, that is when it will reach the canal. The ship is scheduled to hit NY on 5/29

Thanks for posting an update! I guess the ship reaching Port on May 29th is likely then. My dealer says about 10 days after the ship gets to Port is when he will get it. I'm hoping sooner!
    Go Kentucky Highway! :cheer2:

Do we know for certain it won't be stopping in Jacksonville first? ;)

No, that I don't know. I can't see the cars in florida to know what their port date is.

    So it is possible!

According to a post by Ken1784, after leaving the Panama Canal, the ship could either go to Jacksonville or Newark... Guess we'll have to keep a close eye on the ship's tracking after it clears the canal.

So the question is: Is the Kentucky Highway a Reb or a Yank??? ;)

What's up with the captain of this ship? He seems to never report his position. I think he's doing it on purpose, knowing we are all waiting for him to arrive. :(

Maybe the Somali pirates/terrorists are ranging far afield in 100 ft. long
Polynesian sailing catamarans -- to reduce their carbon footprint of course
-- Hey, they can't be all bad, can they? .

Take this, American Prius-centric dogs; add a $5K ransom payback surcharge
to your final price! What'll that do to your "pay-back" period?

To add random future effects, they will use the Fobs in each vehicle -- surely
that's where they're kept so each vehicle can be driven on and off the ship --
to go to ACC-ON and run the poor 12v battery down to near nothing. Pure Terror! :D

In a move calculated to cause chaos in the US population and ultimately
bring the current administration down, they will switch 15 and 17 inch
wheels on all the cars, and throw all trim rings and wheel covers
overboard. (This will result in an additional $1K "wheel correction" fee.)

Exactly 37 months later, the rings and covers will be washed ashore along
the US Pacific Coast. There they will be flung shoreward by the breaking
waves -- a-la Oddjob in Goldfinger -- to decapitate what few tourists and
surfers still play there. And so, completely destroy the Left Coast's by then
    nearly moribund tourist industry.

President Schwarzeneger will drive non-stop across the country in his Li-ion
H3 stretch limo-- to reduce his carbon footprint. Hey, he can't be all bad.
30,000 lb. battery, ~200,000 AA cells -- to commiserate with the disconsolate
Left Coasters who are about to hold a referendum on dissolving the union.

Just remember, you heard it here first.

I hope he knows where he's going (Gloucester Harbor would be perfect!) And if he doesn't hurry up I"m getting an eye patch and doing the pirate thing myself! I haven't worked out how I'll get the car off the ship into my kayak, but I"m workin' on it!! :p

The position will not show up until he is closer to the US in one of those numbers boxes on the map when you zoom out enough to see the US and South America on the map all at once...

The only reason we saw it once was because he happened into that 'boxed area' on the map west of Maxico south of so. cali...

I don't know what was on it but "SHANGHAI HIGHWAY" is outbound from the port of Baltimore, MD. Looks to be in southern part of the Bay now. Ship spoting ang Prius spoting what fun!

SHANGHAI HIGHWAY is headed to Newark, NJ . CENTURY HIGHWAY NO.2 is in LA/Long Beach. Did those Prius shown at Long Beach come off this ship?

I think those were from the initial vessel, Continental Highway.
