Hello all, I have a 2010 Prius 3 with almost 112,000 miles on it. It has been a great car that has needed routine maintenance, new tires at 50,000 miles, and rear brakes due to rusting. Financially, I should really keep this car, but I've been interested in the Prius Prime, a 2017 Prius 2, or a Chevy Bolt. I am worried because the cars I have owned in the past over 120,000 miles had continous problems requiring tows and expensive repairs. Also, it was very difficult to sell them once it was time. Aside from the fact that financially I should stick with my old car, I would appreciate opinions on the following 1) whether I should keep my existing car and how long it should be expected to last and 2) which of the new vehicles I mentioned would you buy and why. Thank you everyone!!
Went through the same agony back in Oct. ......had a 2010 Prius two, with 113,000 mi.......all original, except for tires & rear brakes.....got scared from reading the reports of blown head gaskets & oil burning (mine had started to use about one qt. every 10,000 mi)......found what I thought was a good/great deal on a new 2017 Prius two, & absolutely LOVE it!.....
