Kayak rack for 2017 Prius Prime: Anyone used a Thule Rack attachment ? The Toyota roof rack is too

    Has anyone installed a kayak rack on a 2017 Prius Prime? The Toyota roof rack is too wide to attach the Thule rack attachments I used on my 2012 Prius plug-in. Has anyone used a Yakima rack, or cut the Toyota rack down to 1" plus in width?

    I use the Thule snowpack on the Toyota rack. Works like a charm. Just know that your gas mileage will take like a 20% hit. I go from about 58 average to 45 average when I'm driving around up mountains with 4 sets of skis on top.
