Took the pin stripe off today. Had the windows tinted 15% all around. Removed the rings from the wheels.

Next... Have the taillights smoked darker. Not real big fan of the rear lights. I'll definatelly post pics of that when completed.

Nice. My car is at the dock and I should be picking it up with 2 weeks (I'll be in Hawaii for the next 8 days!). I've the same color and am glad to see yours with tint. I'll tint mine as dark as WA state will let me have it.

I'm curious about the tire rings. I haven't heard of that one.

the plastic wheel trim rings just pull off and leave the wheels looking like the ones in the pix's. Lots do it.

Sweet! I can't believe they still add pin stripes. Didn't that trend die in the 80's? I also like the rings removed (learned that from Bill). Just my opinion, but I wouldn't smoke the tail lights. I think it would look great on black like your other car but any other color would ruin the horizontal design of the rear. Just my 2 cents and please post pics when you're done.

    Shawn,

Is thata real JDM Skyline or is that a G35 coupe? I thought Infiniti was going to offer the real Skyline in 2007. As I recall fromydays in Japan, the Skyline had diffrent styling. Just curious.

It's the G35 Coupe. The current Skyline in Japan is the exact same body style (V35). The R34's and such are way different. Since Nissan had their U.S. sportscar (350Z) they decided to badge it as an Infiniti.

They are bringing the GT-R over next year for 80K.

Here is a pic of the Skyline :

    Here is the Proto GT-R:

I knew that was a Stokes Brown badge when I saw it. My brother got his Echo at Stokes Brown Toyota. Their service department was one of the best we used. What are they charging for the Prius up there?
Also, what's it like driving a Prius on 278? We went through 3  , windshields in the year we lived up there, those were truly fun times  .

They charged MSRP. Nothing over or under.

278 it's not that bad. How long ago were you here?

Might not be legal to alter the taillights like that. Check with DMV or local law enforcement authorities.

We actually left Bluffton (off island) exactly 2 years ago. When we left they still hadn't finished the new bridge to Beaufort, and 278 was a complete mess. As for the DMV not allowing the smoked lenses, I don't think they'll give you a problem. When we lived up there they let people drive around with pieces of cardboard with "Tag Applied For" written on it for months.
