    hi guys,

just installed the coastal ev chip on my 2007.
    Easy task.
And, the jelly beans have been eaten too!
    Now what?

I searched the forums for the best guides to using this feature for maximum mpg gains.
There is a lot out there in the forums. Its been discussed a lot.
Can someone direct me to the best thread?

I basically want to know the ins and outs of this new mode.

    thanks
    michael

When I installed mine my backup beep came back on and has never been silent since:)

It's a stealth around the house thing, if you live on a hill, you can get going without the ice starting, or around the yard you can move the car without starting the ice, it's good for 2-3 miles at 32ish mph, in reality... just drive the speed limit and enjoy the mpg's the prii achieve.

    thanks for the reply.

what is the best routine for a workday using EV mode?

I need to drive 3kms to the highway.
I have already made it a practice (before the EV mod) to drive home in EV mode.
When i get off the hwy my SOC is high.
So, i use the extra kwatts to get me home.

I was thinking of using the EV mode in the morning too.
    Except, those cold winter mornings.
Not sure if thats a good plan.

Will using the EV mode hurt battery life
