Replaced the drier in Car2 today. What a PITA. Maybe there's an easier way, but I had a heck of a time finding any information about it, even where it was located on the car. After the dealer pointed it out, I found a YouTube on a car with a similar set up or else I would have never known that the bottom of the tube unscrews. Still, having to drain the coolant and take out the radiator seems like a lot of work. My only experience is Ford Trucks, and their dryers are simple to access and replace. So, I didn't take the radiator out - by pulling the brackets and yanking the hoses, I was able to push and force it up far enough that I could go underneath and remove a small lower bracket that holds the radiator's alignment peg in place. With it off, there's a hole cut in the cross member exactly, I expect, to let you access that plug., which let me finally access and remove the tube plug with an allen wrench. I thought it was downhill from there, but no. Took me 30 minutes with a hook wire to get the old drier bag out of the tube. I still don't know what holds it in there. But that's not enough - it took at least another 30 minutes to get the new bag up in the tube far enough to get the plug back in. The bag was identical length/width as the old one. I don't know why it wouldn't go in. I finally cut a small hole near the end of the bag and emptied enough material out that it would fit in the tube. I folded the end over the hole and stapled it to keep it from leaking. It still didn't want to go in, but I finally used my allen wrench as a ramrod and that worked. Wonder if I just needed to do that to begin with. Anyway, it's back in,
