Just because it fits doesn't mean it goes there...

I had a soda can in the bottom drawer cup holder. I wondered if it could fit inside the drawer, because that would be a cool way to store it.

Yes, it fits. But now it's stuck in there. :/

Don't let it freeze or it will never come out.

Pretty small chance of that happening in South Florida. It could probably boil though :p

I haven't tackled it yet, but from my initial investigation (which just consisted of me sticking my hand in there), it seems to be getting caught on the top lip inside the shelf. I tried to push it down and pull at the same time, but it didn't budge. Then I had to go to work. I may just have a permanent Sprite stored in my console

Once the liquid is out. The can is easy to crush. Can you drill a small hole in the can?

Aren't you the kid who put the beans in your ears also? Mom said don't do it.....:D
I would imagine the top lip of the can is hanging up. Take a small putty knife and as your pics shows, just shove the blade so it sits on the cans lip, pull the drawer, the can should come out!

Let all the air out of the tires to lower the car and the can will then have enough clearance to slide out.

This seems to be the obvious way to do it. Now I just need a putty knife or similar!

You forgot about the lost lug nuts! Remove one lug nut on the other 3 wheels, so then you can put on the fourth wheel, THEN deflate the tires..

I am so intrigued by how something can go in one way but not able to come out the reversed way... what's the catch?

I keep a can of cola in there all time, for those thirsty moments. You just need to be at rest, and slowly pull the drawer out and the can will stay level and allow it to come out. It has just jostled and come to rest at an angle.
