Just Arrived!!!

    I just picked up my 2006 Barcelona Red, Grey Interior, Package 5 Prius. It had 2 miles on it when I got and I have only added 8 more for now. I cannot wait to get it out and drive more. I think I may just sleep in it tonight. I have so much to learn and maybe sleeping in it I can absorb it through osmosis. I bought it in Charlotte NC and will put it to the test tomorrow when I drive it back to Columbia SC.

    I can hardly wait to drive by all those gas stations and blow my horn and think I do not have to pay those high prices as often.

    w00t! Congratulations!

    You know, we already have an old poll around here relating to sleeping in your Prius. :)

    If you're a guy, you can also join the Wild and Crazy Guys Barcelona Red Owners Club. Heck, you can even be President of it! :rolleyes:

    Now get out there and get at least 45 MPG!

    Man, I am so jealous. I just ordered my Prius about a week ago, and it's all I can do to not call the dealer every day asking, "When will it be here?...Is it here yet?...Where is it? etc. So...Congratulations! Now go for a nice long drive past some Hummer dealerships! :lol:

    I just picked mine up three days ago and still can't believe how cool it is. In fact, I couldn't sleep the first night I had the car, so I went into the garage at two in the morning, and started to set audio settings, and reading the manual. I should have just reclined the seat and slept in it that night!

    Congratulations! I barely slept when I picked up my 2006 Super White 17 days ago. Getting my first fill-up on gas this weekend. I've loved driving it, and I'll confess that I open my condo door often so I can just take a look at her sitting smugly in her parking space!

    I drove it home from Charlotte NC to Columbia SC when I left it had 11 miles on it and when I got home it had 131. All the way I was looking at the mileage and it made me smile when it it 40 MPG. It was mostly interstate and I set the cruise at 70. As people we passing in their SUV doing at 80 I was laughing because they were probably getting 20mpg or less. When I finally pull into my driveway it said I averaged 44. I am so please and I know it will only get better once the car gets broken-in.

    I spent the better part of the first night reading the manual and learning all the neat feature. Programmed my bluetooth phone, transferred my numbers set up my XM MyFi, I am loving it even though I am getting less sleep.
