We currently own a 2006 Prius, and are thinking of buying a new Prius III. My question involves the hands free bluetooth operation in the JBL system without the Navi. The previous generation showed the calling info and contacts on the MFD, but the newer model doesn't have a larger screen unless you get the Nav system.

My questions are, how/where is the info displayed in the non nav model? Is it on the stereo screen? How much info is displayed? How hard is it to get to your contacts? Any other info you can supply is appreciated. I searched on both here and Youtube, with no luck.

    Thanks for your help.

The number is displayed in the radio screen, and you access your contacts more by name than visually. You enter a name and number for each and press the voice button, "dial by name". Voice dial by number is available as well for other numbers. I once read, somewhere, that contacts are limited to 20 names/numbers. It's not stated in the manual, however. I can't confirm that. Speed dial is available for the 6 station preset buttons. I have a Motorola phone so there's no way to download any contacts from it.

It works fine for me but I don't have a large list of contacts. This tutorial helped me before I bought: http://www.toyota-eshowroom.com/partner/BlueTutorNoNav/toyota_nav.html

Thank you for the reply and the link, Jim. The video you linked does state that the phone is limited to 20 contacts. While this is not an issue for me, it may be for my Wife. Can anyone tell me if the Navigation system also only allows 20 contacts?
