Finally, it's happened... my six year-old green commuter lane stickers are no longer valid. Does anybody know how to remove these things? Or are they best left in place forever?
New one is the same shape? Just carefully lay it atop? I had about 6 years accumulation of license plate stickers, decided to get them off. Used a heat gun and plastic razor blades. Don't get the gun too close, keep your hand in the way with the plastic razor blade, to judge the heat, and really go slow and careful. I got one of those Whizzy Wheels once, though not overly impressed with it. Might be worth a try.
Once they are registered, you can’t reapply. So removal is the key. Warming with a heat gun and flat blade behind it would be best .
It’s a California thing: The Prius Plug-in earned commuter lane access which, after 5 1/2 years, expired today.
Removing Registration stickers from on Metal Plate(Registration stickers). But either of them works with Heat Gun. I have used Hair Dryer to clean up the registration plate(since it can be removed) but I dont need to remove Bumper HOA decal since I am one of the few blessed with the new RED HOA decals for the 1st Gen PiP and I stuck the new stickers over the old stickers.
