Just replaced my CR 1632. battery on my fob. I had been getting some strange symptoms in the last two months. Left door did not always unlock or lock, would have to put my hand a bit more to the left of the marker. the final symptom was last night, I could not open the trunk. After hooking up a spare battery to the, under the hood point, it then occurred to me, that I had no dashboard light. This morning I went to Home depot and bought a CR1632 for $5.00. Just ordered 5 on EBay for $1.37. There is a good post on this online. It is a Camry but same fob and battery and procedure. So, if my battery goes, yours will too. It's about that time.

seems a bit early to me. we have been getting 3-5 years. you may want to look at what could possibly wearing it down.
