A local car dealer was having a 50% off sale and sent out flyers in the mail with a number to see if you won a prize, nothing new to this, I usually just throw in the trash.
But She Who Must Be Obeyed wanted to go and see what she could win, and got the usual $5.00 non of the great thing listed. Still nothing new.
Then a salesman asked what she was interested in and not wanting to say nothing she said a small SUV to replace her old Rav 4 new not used.
So this guy takes her to a row of 2010 Suburu's not new, not used but preowned he says, when asked where they were from he answered he did not know, when asked how many mph they got, he did not know, when asked how much the cost, he did not know but if we came inside to the sales office he would find someone who did know. It was clear this guy was not a salesman just a guy out to steer customers into the sales office so a closer could get their hands on them and try and sell them a car. Then to top this off we said we really want a new car, so he took us out back to new cars but had no way to open them so we could look at them. Oh and the 50% of sale was described in small print in their ads that it was "Up to 50% of manufacturers MRSP." So 10% off would cover their butt as doing what their ad says.
Anyway, she is still going to buy a Prius when and if he 97 Rav dies.

nothing new under the sun. around here, they send a lot of flyers telling you how your used car is worth UPTO more than you paid for it, on a trade in because with the economy, used, sorry, 'prowned' are in high demand. nothing new under the sun. when you're ready to buy, get several prices and decide who you want to buy from.:)
