Finally got my mind around some of the recent publicity re the Prius. I have this deal ready if I want to put down a deposit: Silver Level 2: 3 Keys, floor mats, rear bumper applique for $22,395 + tax.
Go to www.aaa.com to build your car & get quotes. Are you sure you are getting 3 keys. The car comes with 2.
I'd say that's a pretty good price ... w/in $400 of my New Year's Eve deal in San Diego after emailing 30 dealers. A lot depends on what's going on in your market and the # of Prius' that are available. And, of course, gas prices. Bart in SoCAL
In this morning's paper. Oxmoor Toyota, Louisville, KY (OxmoorToyota.com). 2010 Prius II - $19,990. Includes $500 rebate. No mention of options. No mention of additional prep/docu costs. Plus 3 years free routine maintenance. This price may be somewhat unique to this area, where Prius sales have always been slow. With two huge plants, this is Ford truck country. Still, use it to bargain. Costs nothing to try.
FWIW...Purchased mine a week ago...New 2010, Red, level II, floor mat option, $22,500.00 O.T.D. (includes %6 sales tax here in Mi.)
