Hi. I have a 64mm Oil Filter Socket Wrench Cap that I've used for a Gen 2 Prius. Should this also work to change the oil on a Gen 3 Prius? Thank you.

Very likely. I've been using 64 mm face-to-face 12 flute Honda socket, on my 3rd gen Prius, which currently has the permanent plastic housing.

I've just acquired the parts for conversion to spin-on filter style, and the appropriate filter, and my socket fits fine on that filter. The spin-on style Toyota oil filter I got was part number 90915-YZZF2. Perhaps that's 2nd gen oil filter as well?

FWIW, that size is the standard on various Hondas, and a Mazda CX-5 as well. It's nice to see various auto manufacturers standardizing, what's basically a commodity.
