New here... Drove my prius v to Iowa now I'm broke down. Car went into limp mode. Took it to dealer they said inverter failure. Got a used inverter but now no ready light won't start and most of the dash lights are on. Checked traction battery and it has 213 volts.....It would run until I replaced the inverter...
    Thanks!

did you try rebooting the 12v? hold the power button down or press it 3 times?

or you could read the trouble codes.

Are you talking about the firmware update for the inverter. Working on the car now. Second inverter...it has the same model numbers as the one that was originally in the car. Charging new 12 volt battery up now.

Yes, the firmware update. It was done? Then Toyota should have provided an extended warranty on the inverter.

Dealer said it didn't have the update. I bought the car used with 194,000 miles.
Tried two different inverters. I don't have any voltage to the inverter. Big battery has 215 volts. No power on the two big cables that go to the front of the car (inverter) DC.
I did see something about a extended warranty on the inverter
    Thanks!!!!

Yes I unplugged the orange safety plug.
Also disconnected, cleaned the battery ends and copper pieces... highest bat voltage 6.72 lowest...6.2 volts...car has been sitting close to 2 weeks. There was corrosion on some of the nuts....clean now, big battery @213 volts
Never hear a click in the relays at the BIG battery.....it would run until I removed the Inverter.
Have tried two different inverters and the same thing. Hard to believe I have 3 bad inverters.
Thanks so much for any help!!!! I'm in a bind 1000 miles from home.

Wish that was it..... 0 Voltage with plug out. 213 volts with plug in. Battery voltage never gets to the inverter.

    Thanks!

I put two different inverters in and it's the same thing. I have been wondering why no voltage goes to the inverter.
And I have the inverter firmware upgrade that the dealer said I didn't have.
I see several different relays and boxes rite next to the HB battery.

    Thanks!!!!!!

Have you checked fuses to ensure nothing is amiss there?
