This afternoon I demonstrated the Intelligent Parking Assist (IPA) to my sales woman and she asked me "What is the picture of the car at the upper right corner of the screen?" I never saw this before since I normally look where the car was going, not at the screen, when the car is steering itself into a parking space.

Does anyone know what this picture is supposed to be? Is this just an icon indicating that the IPA feature is active (and controlling the steering of the car) or does it mean something else?

I attached the drawing from the Navigation System Owner's Manual with this little picture highlighted. The manual doesn't mention anything about this.

Does anyone know what this symbol means?

This Icon means that the IPA is active and "controlling " the car.
