Also at the dealer they wanted me to clean my induction system. It sounded like they meant vacuum it out because it was dusty. My 2013 Prius v has 40,000 miles, lives in a garage and (obviously) doesn't go out a lot. It has never seen anything but a paved road. How does it get so dirty it needs to be cleaned? I never heard this for any prior vehicle, even those that lived in a rural area and got driven through the pasture.
Probably a chemical throttle body cleaning to remove fuel deposits, not dust. Still its overkill at your mileage.
Thanks. I had such a great dealer and service with my prior Toyota (Matrix). Then I moved. Whole different way of doing business here.
