I can only see the speed whil wearing my sun glasses. Very disturbing!

There is a brightness dial to the left of the steering wheel...try that.

I have never had that problem, and I've owned my GenIII for over a month.

It happens to me too. I can make out everything, but it is really faded out when I wear sunglasses. I think it is the polarized sunglasses that have this happen. They also make it difficult for me to take pictures with my digital camera, because the display washes out.

Are you driving w/ the lights on? If so, use the dimmer switch all the way to the upper detent to force daytime mode. If there's no display at all, it's because someone rolled the switch to the lowest setting which turns off the MID/Spedo.

That is very strange. My experience is exactly the opposite - I can read the display well when I am not wearing my sunglasses. I use polarized sunglasses and I noticed yesterday that when I turn them the displays change. Apparently, the portion of the dash panel containing the speedometer (i.e. to the left of the MID), the navigation screen, and the A/C display are all polarized - but each one is polarized at a different angle (the MID doesn't appear to be polarized at all). As I rotate my sunglasses, each of the three displays change from light to dark - but not in synchronization. Each has a different optimal polarization angle.

Living in California, I wear my sunglasses very often. I have no problem at all with the in dash display.

OK it's either our eyes or our sun glasses.

My driving glasses are polarized Carrera Odeon and my display (except the speedometer) appears faded. Headlights off, dimmer all the way up.

What sun glasses are you wearing that don't affect the display.

I can see fine now. Didn't have the dimmer wheel all the way up. I also shut off the lights.

Thanks to all for your help. Life is good again!!!!!!!!!!!
