I had always felt that the high temperature, +600 C, carbonate fuel cells were the way to go. Here, they've taken an approach to 160 C which is much more reasonable than the cooler or hotter fuel cells. Regardless, there is a big gap between lab and production products. But unlike some other proposals, it 's*cks less.'

I was excited about the rail gun. Now I'm a little more hesitant to be optimistic. (I wish to work on a time dilation missile personally). Is DARPA working on this???

 

I'm a history buff and for some great binge watching, "Inventions that Shook the World" is very well produced!!

As seen in this real life clip from the 1960s, inexpensive flying cars need cliffs to take off. That isn't practical for mass market ;-)
