I have about 3500 Miles on my Prius Prime Premium. I think my car is a great value and would definitely purchase it again, so this is constructive feedback:

    1. It is both very distracting and annoying to have to click though and select multiple windows and many menu items in the Multi-information display to view specific information regarding the performance of the car.
Please develop a single screen on the 11"display that would present the following info on the same screen:

    A. Distance traveled on current trip, distance traveled on current gas fill-up
    B. Distance remaining in EV mode
    C. % of charge used
    D. Miles / % of distance in EV mode for current trip/gas fill-up/overall
    E. % of distance in Hybrid mode for current trip/gas fill-up
    F. Current MPG
    G. Trip MPG
    H. Tank MPG
    I. Graphic of power source
This data is currently available, but only by navigating from one menu and or screen to another! Distracting and Annoying.

    2. There is an indicator for EV and auto EV, but not the hybrid mode. When in hybrid mode, the indicator light goes off. I guess the assumption is that if it's not in EV or EV auto it must be in hybrid. Please include an indicator for hybrid mode.

    3. NO Apple Play or Android Auto. Really Toyota?

WOW, WOW, WOW...that is incredible. CONGRATS !!!!!!!!! Man, that would make a great commercial for the PRIME instead of some of the silly ones we have seen.

Does it monitor electric vs gas miles, force the engine to run after some time? Per the Volt?

I'm sure. I just got 800 on my PIP. Once the Prime has more room in it I will get one. The 25 mile EV range would be ideal for my commute

I actually wanted the engine run in hybrid mode once a week just for a short distance. I'm Hoping to finish up this tank #1 by jun and then adding new fresh fuel.

Feeling weird without going to the gas station lately.....

They do have things besides gas...like snickers, pizza slices, bathrooms, air for tires, stuff to clean the windshield.

That's pretty amazing. I am only able to get around 500 per tank the most but driving on freeway at 75ish does not help. LOL

couldn't agree more. toyota hardware trumps toyota software every time since the integrated circuit was invented.

everything in the car needs to be voice activated.

Curious as when I ran seven days of EV, ~481 km (301 mi), I don't remember the ICE coming on BUT I didn't have instrumentation to tell for sure. The indicated fuel level did not change.

Yeah I'm curious as to what the interval is. 300km is quite short/frequent.

I can't find it in the manual. It was what I told. I'll be curious what the actual distance is.

So how long will it take to break in the ICE ?

I see this in the Prime Owner's Manual:

    upload_2017-2-17_7-0-53.png

It's boiler-plate prose from the regular fourth gen manual; they don't differentiate. The reality I would think is that the Prime engine will take more miles to break-in.

Just editorial, and I've had people get testy when I go there, but anyway:

Doesn't "how long will it take to break-in the engine" sound better?

    Not what I meant.

If the ICE hardly runs, It can't have the same schedule as Hv mode.
There are some folks not using ICE at all, so their ICE will never be broken in.

    I forgot to mention,

Congrats Terry Nyberg, that is a goal I would love to achieve, but so much to learn...

Actually, my commute is about 40 miles round trip. 20 miles each way. Going is downhill, with battery regeneration happening on and off during that leg. The hybrid system kicks-in during the last 10 miles or so on they way home, mostly up-hill. So my 1000 miles per tank routinely runs the gas engine on a daily basis.
