There is no way to position the seat in our Prius so that I do not develop spasms in my back. I am still surprised that the Prius does not have the lumbar adjustments found on all other Toyotas in the same price range. I note that the usual adjustment is to lower the back of the cushion, which effectively creates more support in the lumbar area.

I am still checking ways to fix this. One memory foam cushion, LC2234 by Hermell, looks like a good solution. While it does come in beige to match the seats, I have not found a vendor with this color yet.

I have 3 degenerative disks and take Celebrex off and on to help manage the pain and was in desperate need of lumbar support. I ordered seat covers with the $40 optional lumbar support from Wet Okole Seat Covers www.wetokole.com.

They were installed 2 days ago. The lumbar support is sewn into the back of the seat cover and is adjusted using a bulb to pump air into the "pillow" and a release valve is used to decrease the amount of support.

It feels great and has alleviated a lot of my lower back pain. Now, if only I could get a moonroof ...

Thank you, I will investigate this option.

I had major back surgery in 2000. Since I have scoliosis and minor spina bifuda, and since that section of my back was disintegrating, the only solution was a triple fusion. Fortunately, I had the best surgeon in the Northwest, whose technique used bone paste from the back, not a piece of bone from the hip.

Do seats from other Toyota Products fit the Prius?

I see Lexus full power leather seats advertized for reasonable amounts. I was thinking of getting a pair for my Toyota pick up, but am wondering if they will work in the Prius?

A few things you need to consider, even if it will physically fit and properly bolt down:
Wiring for the power function, and proper wiring for side airbags if you have it. Even if you don't have side airbags, there is a sensor for seat position to control the impact of the driver airbag in the steering wheel. If the Lexus seat has such a sensor, it might need to be relocated to sense proper distance from the steering wheel.

As for the power function, be sure there isn't an ECU needed for the power function, especially if the seat has memory. The memory probably isn't actually in the seat if it has that capability.
