This car is so sweet 75k Miles on it, $4000 What a deal and its got brand new brakes, battery has been changed, and engine was rebuilt... (due to accident) Its almost like brand new... No sign of the accident at all... Sweet Ive driven it now for over a 1000 miles, and its the nicest ride Ive ever had... MPG average is about 40... which surprised me, because the epa said it would get 41mpg I get 40mpg, in the middle of winter, and I spend time idling listening to music at lunchtime at work. So, I would say, the 2001 prius can easily get 41mpg on average... I cant wait to see my summer numbers!
You sound like me getting my first Prius. My milage also dropped with the winter months, but in the summer I was getting 58-61 mpg consistantly with city driving. 75 mph highway the mileage dropped to 43-45 mpg. Enjoy the freedom from the pumps!
