I'm thinking about buying one of these Prius Prime thingies and the one thing that's hanging me up is that I can't figure out what color to get. Yeah, it's a matter of taste, but I've only ever seen two of these cars, so I've only seen it in two colors. It's bad enough that I can't do a test drive. To buy it I either have to order one or travel a very long distance. Either way, I should pick a color.

I've narrowed it down to red, white, or blue. Of those, I've only seen it in red. It looks good in red, but I suspect it would not be my first choice if I could see all the colors and just pick. White looks good from the pictures and would be a safe pick I guess. The blue is a new color and I don't know if I would love or hate it.

Am I just obsessing too much? I plan to keep it for as long as possible. I don't want to make the wrong choice!

Go for the Blue Magnetism... That's the "in vogue" colour for the Prime :)

go for a road trip, the colors never look the same as in person, and who is going to talk you into or out of a color?

I have blizzard pearl but I wish I got blue. I think the front looks better in white but the ghastly rear end looks more bearable in blue.

How does it compare to other blues? My coworker has a Rav4 in blue and it is very blue. I'm not sure he's totally happy with that blue. If I get blue and park next to him will it look better than his? Will he be jealous?

Of course they are not the same :(. Road trip to where? I am nowhere near the places where there are lots of them.

Interesting. You call the rear "ghastly" yet your profile picture is...

Oops. Forgot there was a multi-quote feature here. Anyway, my current car is blue and I'm trying to remember if I got to see that color before I ordered it.

Moonstone, is that what it's called? My current car has all black interior which is kind of boring.

The RAV4 came in different blue colours depending on year. Assuming it's the current generation, it's called Electric Storm Blue (hybrid-specific colour) and it's a very bright blue.

Blue Magnetism on the Prime is a more subdued blue and it's a complex colour (so you'll get a varied opinion on how it looks like because it changes hue depending on lighting). Generally, it's pastel blue with metallic flakes and a hint of seafoam green. I've only seen it indoors (at the debut at the NY Auto Show) so I've only seen the pastel-ly side of it.

I'm thinking Blizzard Pearl w/ Moonstone is a bit too much white (just my opinion) so maybe go with Hypersonic Red or Blue Magnetism with the Moonstone interior.

My worry with a white interior is that other fabrics (ok mostly denim) will rub the colour onto the seats. I'm ok with tan since it's a darker beige (or it can be) and can partly masked.

I've had Stone (medium grey) in the Camry and Dark Grey (Gen 3) and they both don't show denim. (You have to look up close and I can rub it away lightly with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser). Both are leather.

We had a Bisque cloth interior for Gen 2 and the seat looked a little black (black pants).

I was interested in the Moonstone interior before I saw it with the white exterior...They just don't match.
If you're interested in that combination, you should really see one in person to be sure you like it.
I saw moonstone with the red and found it nice but ultimately felt the black interior was more elegant (personal opinion).
