Hybrids sell, but lack battery technology upgrade

    I don't think there is anything really new here, but it's interesting to see a somewhat negative article about hybrids -- not because they are not good for some reason but because new ones (and new batteries) are not coming out fast enough!

    I remember what John Carmack said about releasing.... "it will be out when it is ready".

    It is better to find and correct the issue rather than recalling the product in the hand of consumers.

    Toyota is denying that there will be a delay. There isn't even a confirmation that the next generation of Prius will use either Li-ion or NiMH.... not that I am aware of..

    sounds good. Toyota has been releasing a hybrid every year

    Sept 2003 - 2004 Prius
    May 2004 - 2005 RXh + HiHy
    2005 - 2006 GSh
    Aug 2006 - 2007 TCH
    2007 - 2008 LSh + 2008 HiHy

    I wonder what's gonna be launched next year.
