we just traded our 2002 Classic Gen I and our 2004 Gen II in to now have only 1 car! (This is going to take some getting used too!!) and it’s the Gen III V version.

I have a couple of question regarding the Hybrid System Indicator.

    1. When you press the DISP button until you have the ‘Settings’ screen and you go into it the top two settings are the set the ‘ECO’ on/off and the Steering Wheel switch on/off. The are currently set ON so what is it that gets turned OFF if your set either of those switches off?
    2. When I have it showing the Trip Miles traveled and Consumption MPG and Avg MPH it looks like the average MPH records time while your setting idol. It currently have around Trip) 200 miles Cons) 50MPG and Avg at 20 MPH
It must record idol time, eh?

    3. I saw the Hybrid System Indicator in the picture in this URL here Humm, I can't yet add URL's so I added it to the 'Trackback' area(hope that works) and it has green colors on the ECO display and charts. Ours is all just the white except the PWR which is a Brown/Red darkness. Was that a special example in the picture or is there some way to turn the colors on. A you know we had colors we could on the Gen II screens
I’ve read the manual and may have somehow missed the answers to my crazy questions. But, I hope they are answerable!!
    Great Thanks,
    Ken

ECO off hides the indicator that informs you when the meter extends into the POWER range, on both the METER screen and the MINUTE graph.

AVE MPH does indeed include when the car is stopped. I had my Prius almost completely motionless the other day during a looooong photo session (getting close-ups of the roof-rack). That dropped AVE MPH from 37 to all the way down to 26.

    Thanks, John!!

With the "Setting" of the Steering Wheel switch I'll turn it off and see what occurs.
And with the color of white on the ECO indictor(above the meter screen) I'll hopefully find a color selector that will make it green like it is the URL I tride to display. Which is: priuschat.com/news/2010-preview-a-hypermilers-prespective

    Thanks Again!! :)
