    Wow, an article that actually shows the true savings that can happen with the Hybrids.

    I got to see the new Chevy ad last night and nearly fell on the floor laughing. They have 9 out of 10 vehicles getting 30+ mpg (oh that was highway...maybe) and they were touting the Silverado Hybrid again...what a joke there.

    Even this article is a bit misleading. They compare the price of the Honda Civic Hybrid to the base Civic, a difference of over $5K. But the HCH is equipped comparably to the Civic EX, so the difference is actually about $2700. That is a lot easier to recoup. Of course, someone might want the option to buy a hybrid car at a lower price without the options. After Honda introduces the Fit Hybrid, I think we'll see a proliferation of low-cost, high-MPG hybrids.
