So I'll try and make this as short as possible I acquired a 2005 Prius base model from a family member that passed away it used to have all the power in the world coming from the hybrid drive but now the most I'm getting on a charge for the hybrid battery is two actual bars it does go to a full charge but if you shut it off and you turn it back on it's instantly two or three bars so I know I've got an issue with at least one cell or one module so I am in search of the person on the forum that actually sells replacement modules in blocks I guess he sells 14 blocks for a refurbished battery basically my other question is to sounds that come from the information center in the dash of the car once in a while I'll be driving down the road and obviously my cluster of lights is on because I've got a hybrid battery problem but just all of a sudden I'll get this high pitched wine like I can't even explain it and it doesn't go away until you shut the car off and turn the car back on what is that what why is it doing that it's trying to tell me something but I don't know what any insight to that the either of these would be much appreciated!

I suppose you have the red triangle on the dash while you're driving? The high pitch may be the warning for low pressure in the brake system. Research a bit about brake actuator failures. The best thing you can do is get yourself a good code reader and find out exactly what's going on, otherwise it's guessing and that can get expensive.

^+1 for getting a good scan tool to read the trouble codes. Read the first post, then go down to post #37 in this thread: https://priuschat.com/index.php?posts/3246758
The Auttel AP200 is a very good choice to purchase. It is on sale right now on Amazon for $55.20.

If you want to get some of the ABS/VSC/TRAC and engine codes while waiting for your scanner to arrive, you can blink them out on the dash lights.

Here is how you do that: Blink (a/k/a Flash) Codes – How to.

However, you will need the scanner for the battery codes.
