I just bought my 2010 Prius III this weekend. Trying to connect my HD2 for audio streaming but no luck yet. I saw in the forums here that someone got their WM Touch Pro working so I'm sure it's possible with the HD2 (it supports A2DP and is a bit newer than the Touch Pro). I've got both mine and my wife's HD2 paired with the bluetooth and can send/receive calls fine. I also went into the settings of the HD2 and told it to send audio out to the bluetooth device. I just can't get the music to stream to the stereo...

    Any tips?

Works a treat for me. As with other phones, seems that you need to pair the phone part first, then the audio part.
I do recall having trouble getting the audio part to reconnect sometimes, and there was a bluetooth setting on the phone... let me see if I can find it (something that made the phone find the car, as opposed to expecting the car to find the phone).

Just found something... if you do Properties of the Stereo Audio connection on the phone, try ticking the "Connect separately to handsfree and audio"

I don't see any properties for "Stereo Audio" to choose that setting... where is that located? Under "All Settings" / "BlueTooth", if I expand "Car M_Media" I only see "Hands Free". I've tried to delete and pair my phone about a half dozen times now and can't get the car to recognize my phone as an audio device.

Can you tell me what steps you took to get your Prius to pair the audio part of the phone?

    Thanks!

After you pair the phone for BT, you then pair the audio player for BT.

Press the setup button, then audio, then select portable player. The nav owners manual has instructions (BT audio streaming only works with nav cars--I assume you have nav).

Well, I think you just answered my question... I don't have NAV. I hoped that it was possible without NAV so that I would be able to use my phone GPS and save some $ on my Prius purchase. Kind of a disappointment there :(

I guess it's back to the iPod and manually turning my radio down to hear voice guidance from my phone.

Really hate to hook up by wire to the audio aux port, huh? I've been living with it that way to get a certain internet nat'l public radio stream that isn't available in my local broadcast area. The show's on once a week for an hour, so it isn't too bad to hook up the wire for that. But yeah, I wish it would just do it over bluetooth.

Maybe there's a BT audio receiver with a headphone plug output that can hide in the center console and accomplish this?

Oh yeah, here it is... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0038MA11U/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I'm using the blubridge mini jack rx and it works great. only downsides are that it can only pair with one device at a time and you have to press the button to reconnect when you get back in the car. sound quality is great.
