I have searched for but have not found how to remove the lower center dash panel on a 2005 Prius.

This is the one with the 12v accessory lighter outlet in it.

I removed the plastic pin near the outlet but it still seems to be held in by something.

I want to add another 12v outlet that is live all the time. There are instructions for doing this but the part about removing the panel is not clear.

Once you remove the pin on the right side it is just held in by plastic clips. If the panel has never been off the car it will be tight and you'll feel like you're breaking it but it should "snap off".

Pull from bottom then stick a screwdriver up behind and pry away. I think there are 4 clips on the flatish part at the top of the panel that will come undone.
