i've read the threads on how to alter the function of the automatic door locks to change to, say, lock the doors automatically at 15mph or lock the doors when shifting from Park.

what i wanna know is how do i disable this feature altogether? I don't like auto-locking doors in any instance.

    please?

Have you tried just disabling both of the auto lock functions, i.e. speed and park? That is go through the little drill for both "shift linked" and "speed linked" on page 70 of the owner's manual with the drivers door lock switch in the unlock position.

    Hi P.J.

Take a look at the chart on page 589 of your owners manual. I believe the dealership will have to make the changes but it shouldn't cost you anything and should only take 5-10 for them to do. Perhaps call them before taking it in for the next service let them know what you want and they can make the change during the service.

I had them change a few things for me after we had ours for a while and the dealership was very helpful.

    Hope this helps
    Dan
