The only way I can figure out is to turn the deal to speed dial and then press the button corresponding to the number, which is almost impossible to do while driving.

I know C2 does not have voice commands. However, with my bluetooth headphone, I can press a button and activate the phone's voice commands. Is there something similar with the Prius C interface?

Also, I can't seems to be able to create a contact entry manually. It tries to access the contacts on my phone, but doesn't seem to work with WP7.8.

I have the same question. I can push/hold the home button on my phone and issue a voice command but isn't there a way to do that via the cars Bluetooth system?

Do you have steering wheel controls?

I too am frustrated there's no interface via Bluetooth to engage either the Google Now feature in Androids or the Siri in iPhones. Really, a simple way to do this would be to have a phone code you can call, such as *#06#, that when dialed via bluetooth from the car would trigger on the phone to bring up those respective voice command APIs (that particular code, brings up your phone's IMEI #).

Anyways, then I found out about Motorola's new Moto X and it's "always listening" feature. Basically, its mic is always on and scanning for the magical phrase "OK Google Now". When it detects that phrase uttered, it launches the Google Now interface at which point you could say "Dial Bob" and it would place the call. It works in any state, as long as the phone's not completely turned off. It seems like a pretty neat feature, one that I'm hoping works for the Prius C.

You can replace the stock stereo with an aftermarket one, then buy steering wheel control interface. From there you can make the existing steering wheel controls do whatever you want. I made my "mode" button my "voice command" button.

with an iphone, you just ask siri to call "blah" and siri should start dialing that number which will then be pushed to your stereo. OR tell siri to call "phone number". Doesn't that work? Obviously you need to activate siri first which on my iphone 4S is by pressing and holding my home button

It still works, but it requires the button push. We are saying there should be a way to do it from the steering controls.

I have a Nexus 5 (4.4) and if my phone's unlocked, I can go an "OK Google, call So-and-so" and it calls them. It works pretty well for the most part.
