How to get tinted windows?

    How do you get tinted windows (back seats) on the 06 Prius? Mine is on its way - will be receiving in a couple more weeks. Did it have to be factory ordered? I'm very confused because I have seen some Priuses with the tinted windows, and most without. Thanks.

    Ordered mine from the dealer as they said it was the only way to have them covered in my bumper to bumper warranty. Had to take delivery and bring it back to the dealership for tinting. i am pretty happy with the window tinting except that when I wave to other prius owners they can't see me as the tint is rather dark.

    Toward the top of the screen you will see a SEARCH button. Click on it, then enter WINDOW TINT, then click PERFORM THE SEARCH.

    Yes, it is an aftermarket thing.

    I had asked my dealer about having the windows on my Prius tinted when it arrived on the lot, before I picked it up. After looking into it, he called me back and said that their tint guy only came in on certain days and that it might be up to 2-3 weeks before he got around to mine due to the number of people ahead of me. I opted not to have the dealer tint them, but instead took the Prius to a detail shop nearby that was recommended to me by another Priuschatter and had them done there in a matter of hours. :)
