I have a Prius Generation 1 which I bought new in 2000. I've been the only owner and it's been a great car for 20+ years. It has 93k miles on it. It has had no accidents. The hybrid battery was replaced in 2013 due to age and it hasn't had many miles put on it since then. It has an extra set of rims with winter tires.

I live in Vermont and the winter roads are rough on the body. It won't pass inspection any more due to rust on the underbody. Some is visible on this photo.

It seems like it could be a great parts car. Would this be the right place to offer it up? I'd like to make contact with an enthusiast who could give it a new life in some form.

I should add, it is completely driveable. I work at home so I just start it up occasionally and drive it around the block.

They somewhat have a following. But once they're flintstoned up IE holes in unit construction it's pretty much over. Live in Western Ma. Years n years . Takes em all out. And everything is so costly and probably will never come back down getting to it picking it up moving it all of that is like gold I mean you'd have to have your own big truck and trailer Go get it all of that and then if you have to pay for it ... never get out of the red

Thank you @Tombukt2. That makes sense. I hate to waste things. So I thought some inner parts are worth salvaging: engine, hybrid battery, catalytic converter, and so on. Someone could drive it away and strip it down. it might not be worth it. I'll see if anyone shows any interest.
