Pardon me if it was asked before. When I was on my way to nearest Toyota servicing center to replace MFD in my 2008 Prius, check engine light suddenly came on. Advisor told me his mechanics found out it's time to replace the catalytic converter after 15 years. He quoted me $1,500 for parts and labor but told him I'll sleep on it. Checking around, found many claiming to be compatible and see price ranges like $50-300 on Amazon and $200-700 on various reputable auto parts websites like Advance Auto Parts, O'Reilly Auto Parts, etc. How would I tell though which one would be the right fit?

it's hit or miss, unfortunately. before making a decision, make sure your jurisdiction allows aftemarket cats.
