    The title should have been:

How many APPLE products have you owned / own?

And this should probably be a poll but being an APPLE fan I have owned the following:

    original Macintosh,
    first Macbook,
    Newton,
    Powerbook G4,
    original iPod,
    iPhone 3GS, and 4S,
    MacBook Air
    iPad II

I'm sure some of you experts have owned more, but I can't wait what's next.

I own an iPod (current gen) and an iMac 2010, I think (2.3 GHz i5). I have been issued an iPad 2, and an iPhone 4s. I think I will purchase an iPad 3 when they come out.

But, I also own a last gen PC, a ProLiant server, and an i3 laptop, and have owned countless PCs. I develop for PCs and web, and am going to start HTML5 and objective c for iPad/iPhone. I hope they don't move too quick.

I do all my photography and telework on the PC and laptop.

    Owned?
    None.

I had to work with a few Mac products back in my NRL days, and that pretty much made me a PC/Linux user for life. A few years ago, somebody gave me an i-thingy (nano, IIRC) and it rattled around in my junk drawer until I donated it to GoodWill.

I own a Harley, so I've already checked the "pay too much for a brand name" block in my bucket list. ;)

We had several Apple products over time...

    Started on an Apple II+
    Apple IIE
    Macintosh

When the IBM PC came out with 64K of ram on the motherboard and two floppies, we had to get that for the Auction company (gave up the Kaypro using CPM)... and I stayed with working with them because I saw the direction that Windows was taking after we bought another one a couple of years later...

I convinced several folks to get PowerPCs because they were NOT folks that ever used a computer before... and I know they needed to get up to speed fast for their businesses.

Now I have a Nano in my shirt pocket... got it for my birthday... good little radio... :D

    But my wife has
    1 iMac
    1 iPodNano

I like the way they "just work" for the non-technically inclined.

I bought a Mac SE in college in 1987. When I graduated, I became a product manager for a line of 3rd party Macintosh graphics cards and displays, so I extensively used every Mac model literally inside- out. My desktop Mac SE, for instance, had the motherboard removed and sitting on top of the case, so I could more easily test add-in cards. This lead to getting pre-production prototypes from Apple of the first PowerBooks, the Quadra Macs, the LC, and many others. I didn't need to buy any Macs of my own for several years.

I moved away from Macs in 1995, when the PowerPC proved a disappointment to me and my work required Windows.

Today, Apple is alive and well in our household:
    A Hackintosh
    A Mac Mini
    A MacBook Pro
    Two iPhones
    Two iPod Touches
    One iPad

My wife used to call me at work daily with computer problems. The calls stopped when I bought her the MacBook Pro two years ago. Its trackpad broke last week. I took it to an Apple Store, where it was repaired while I waited at no charge.

My mother is in her 70's. I bought her an HP laptop. She couldn't use it. Things kept failing. Trivial things like lost printer and WiFi settings, but they stopped her cold. I bought her a MacBook instead. No more problems. It just works.

One of my daughters is disabled. She broke the iPad three times. It was definitely not a warranty repair kind of issue. Each time, I took the broken iPad to an Apple Store, explained her condition, and they replaced it for free. Three times.

    We're hooked.

I don't know if I can remember them all ...
These are not all in their correct order of appearance.

    'Big' Mac dual floppy 512k
    LC
    Duo Notebook
    Macintosh Clone
    Snow Notebook 12"
    15" Notebook Titanium
    Powerbook Lombard
    Macbook Air G1 13" (using)
    Round notebook
iMac -- red plastic with hockey stick mouse
iMac -- 15" LCD attached to hemisphere -- wonderful design
MacBook 12" -- on last legs, I think 7 years old.
Predecessor to PDA (I am blanking on the name)
    Mac-Mini (house server these days)
Macintosh Desktop G4 Aluminium dual CPU (dud, broke within two years)
    (2) iPod Touch -- my son and me
    (2) iPads -- my wife and me
    iPhone 3GS -- wife
    Assorted Apple MP3 players
Apple wireless BT keyboard -- priceless for when I am forced to use a PC at work. My fingers have too strong an apple keyboard memory wired into them.

My first computer I bought while in college was a PC clone that ran DOS. I liked it a lot, and learned programming and basic hardware on it. Then I saw Macintosh, and was smitten. Years later Apple pissed me off and I bought an expensive PC notebook. It sucked, and I admitted that my love of Macintosh trumped my distaste for Apple the company. I have also built a couple of PCs in the last 5 years for Linux, but the poor quality of PC hardware and the inadequate power savings modes for notebooks has dimmed that interest.

Daughter: Is unaware of anything not Apple
Wife: Refuses to consider anything not Apple
Son: Lives in Linux or OS X's command line.

0 which is the same number any sane person would own.

If you enjoy throwing money away, then by all means buy one

    A true fanboy ;)

    I have a Macbook Pro i5.

    It runs Windows.
    It runs OSX.

It is better built, better looking and has a better, brighter, LED lit display than any PC laptop I've used.

To me its worth the 'Apple Tax'.

    Each to their own. :)

None, zero, nada. I used to install and support networked Apple computers. That issue is gone now that they run on Unix, but I run Linux on my computers, giving me the power of Unix without the shackles and high cost of Apple.

Apple has produced many interesting, beautiful, and trend-setting products, but price and Apple's heavy handed constraints have kept me from buying.
