The title is enough to describe the situation. Bought a project car with ABS pump pressure code but the brakes feel fine and the pump only runs slightly longer than my other Gen 2s. Just for giggles I erased all the codes, and for 2 days nothing came back on. How many on/off cycles or hours of driving does it take to have this light come back on?

You haven't quite said which trouble code(s) you had (you said "ABS pump pressure code", but there are a few that could be; it's better to give us actual codes than paraphrases. We can look up what the codes mean, but it's more trouble to go the other way.)

In any case, each trouble code has exact "detection conditions" that are written out exactly in a box in the repair manual in the section for that code. The detection condition doesn't have to have anything to do with on/off cycles or hours of driving; a code will come back whenever the exact combination of things that make up its detection condition happen again (for the second time, if it's a "two-trip logic" code).

A good reason to read the codes whenever a warning light comes on is that if a warning light comes on again next week, it doesn't have to be because of the same trouble code(s) it was the last time. Reading the codes each time, you avoid making assumptions about that.

Trouble codes from the brake system can be read without any special tool:

And when you had the code and the Christmas tree lights if you had the Christmas tree lights where the brakes functioning any differently than when the lights weren't on and the code wasn't there? Like a low pedal longer to stop no regenerative braking showing on the MFD?.

Thanks, I did not write down the code. Will drive it a bit next week and see what happens. The only issue is I have not gotten it registered or inspected so gotta keep away from the law when I drive it.
