How do You Use the Board?

i just come around several times each day and click on 'view posts since last visit'. then after opening the ones that interest me, i click on 'mark all forums as read' to reset the list for the next time.

 

I do exactly the same thing.

i also check "send email notice when someone responds to my post"

that saves me having to check on posts that havent been answered yet plus that way i know when someone adds a post to an old thread that i have participated in.

I would likeand try to visit several times a day. But too often go several days between visits. AAAHHH. 4 pages of THREADS to sort through since my last visit. Sometimes start from the back and sometimes from the front.

1) Read the ones that I think of as MUST reads. 2) Ignore the ones that at the moment, I don't have time for but want to save, so that they will still be there for later when I do. 8) 3)Click briefly on the ones that I consider as "Not enough time this month for this one" to clear them from my "Posts since last visit" queue.

Still praying for that box that I can check off in the "Posts Since Last Visit" to TEMPORARILY clear unwanted clutter but realize that it is going to be an understandably long wait for that feature.

 

If it wasn't for that guy Danny...we wouldn't have this problem. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I really do have a question.. when you/I post there are points...why???

Everyone has a donate line (EXCEPT ME).. why??

Even though you are a Silver Sponsor, Bob, it looks like you are a cheapskate and did not donate ('sup with that dude!). . . or maybe (the real answer) . . . you can not donate points to yourself. Therefor, nobody sees “donate†under their own name. Except maybe for DANNY . . . he can do anything.

it came in an e-mail... I passed them along to a NEW Prius owner here in Denver...hope it was OK....

 

I wish I could search for phrases, but the technique I use (on Google, for example) does not seem to work. Is there a link that tells about "advanced search"?

For example,....
I wanted to search on "check engine" or "red triangle". the search seems to ignore the quotes and return posts with just one word of the 2-word phrase that I enclosed in quotes.

that is strange that the quotes dont exclusify (is that a word??) the search. you could try

"+check+engine"

 

Good suggestion. I tried it. No luck. It still returns hits with just one word. Thanks anyway. Too bad. Otherwise, I really like this site. Searching for a phrase would be a great improvement from my usage perspective.
