How do you turn off the seat belt warning sound?

i'd love to know as well, perhaps it will work on our hycam

 

Pretty sure I saw some mention of this when I was using the latest TIS software and mini-VCI to customize other settings (lowering the turn signal blink sound and disabling the dash light strip) I'll take a look again and post screenshots of the relevant option when I get a chance.

Kinda annoying that Toyota doesn't put all of these settings accessible via a normal GUI, instead of just randomly picking some and not bothering with the rest, leaving it up to the user to ask the dealer to do changes like these (at least assuming the owner's manual even mentions it's possible to be changed by the dealer, that is)

There’s one very simple way to turn off the warning. Not trying to be clever clogs; it is a simple action, takes a couple of seconds.

too, any time you’re rolling along, say around 20 mph, if something outa the blue happens, say a wasp blows in, deer on the road, stroke, seatbelt might help.

It's a decently fast car, quarter-mile is 15 sec at 95mph, you should be able to make the end of your 1/2 mile driveway and top out at 105mph in 23 sec. I guess I don't understand why she can't put up with the seatbelt warning for 23 seconds.

 

According to my dealer they can use their scan tool to disable for $49. It's the same price to disable one thing or any number of annoying issues so bring your list with you.

 

May be a little late for this, but dealers will usually disable it at no cost when you bring it in for the free service. Or ideally (as I did with my 2018 Prime), have them disable the reverse beep (is it still beeping inside the car with the new Primes?) and the driver's safety belt warning.

Dr Prius apparently will do this. Still, simplest workaround, and it’ll serve you well, is just always buckle up.

 

I used Carista Bluetooth adapter, worked fine.
