"For example, if the sales price of fuel cars goes down below 10 million yen (87,700 dollars), then customers who now buy German luxury cars will shift to fuel cell cars," he said

How moronic is this statement. I don't think the first fuel cell cars will be able to autobahn cruise like a BMW 7 or 5 series can, different customers. Besides hydrogen fuel distribution infrastructure is as big a problem as anything.

Personally, I think Honda is missing the mark.

Honda is obviously in cohoots with Big Oil and George W Bush.

The Marines fly several planes with a system called "obogs" which is an onboard oxygen generating system. Would be nice if you could develop something like that for Hydrogen and put the Arabs out of business.

They're just trying to delay losing money on their ICE investments for as long as possible - same as GM, Toyota and everybody else. Honda is too smart to be in cahoots with an idiot like Bush. Bush has no idea WHY he's pushing H2. For all I know, he might think it is a good idea. Honda, on the other hand, knows exactly what they're doing... and why. Same for GM and Toyota. It was just a few months ago that Toyota said that they weren't even considering a plug in! Ha. You can't believe what any auto maker says at this point. Product in the show room is all that counts.

Can ANYTHING be said about a car company that does't inspire this kind of comment from you? If it irks you to hear people say it of GM, why propogate it? Call people on it or say it of GM while letting others off the hook... but why do this?
