I have a 2002 with 140K. As I just acquired it, changed the battery pack, did some minor body work (you can push out dents in the rear bumper with direct sunlight, a heat gun, patience, and having an access or it). But since arrival it make as hissing noise, it does not appear to effect drivability, occurs usually when colder or having been restarted after about an hour. It last a varing amount of time for 30 seconds to about 90 seconds. If the engine should be cycled to stop the noise resumes when it restarts. One or twice I have heard a noise like a damper closing and the noise goes away. The noise seems to come from under the front floorboard somewhere. Any suggestion ... would be appreciated.
