Highlander gets a Grand Title

This might actually appear before the new Prius Prime, but the Highlander family will welcome a Grand Highlander to signify a longer, more square body for more room.

Probably will have the same engine lineup as the current one. Being built on the TNGA-K platform it may get the Hybrid Max system for one of the trims, but that is a guess on my part. For those wondering if it might get the i-Force Max, I doubt it because it is reserved for TNGA-F (body-on-frame) platforms. Since I assuming the price will be much higher, it could be intruding into the Sequoia decision line.

This is not unprecedented as the rest of the world (other than North America and Europe) has the Kluger sister SUV, including a Crown Kluger. From the spy shots, it has some serious overhang in the back as well as sporting a flatter backside for more room.

Three power trains: 2.4L turbo in FWD/AWD, 2.5L Hybrid in FWD/AWD, and of course the 362 hp (270 kW) 2.4L Hybrid Max in AWD only. The Limited Hybrid, Limited Hybrid Max, and Platinum Hybrid Max trims offer standard 1500W 120V outlets. The Hybrid Max power train now can tow 5000 pounds and rockets from 0 - 60 in 6.3 seconds. Folding down all of the seats gets 98 cu. ft. of cargo space, about 14 cu. ft. more than the Highlander but short of the Sienna's 101 cu. ft. and Sequoia's 120 cu. ft..
