High speed testing (in manual)

    Just noticed one of the sample screens in the manual is encouraging reckless behavior...check out that speed!! :rockon:

    Thanks, we now have grounds to sue Toyota if we ever get caught for a speed ticket !

    Actually, I got on the interstate to take my Prius in for an oil change, so I reset my tripometer and then gunned it most of the way there. I know there aren't many cops on that stretch, and it's a good road with light traffic. When I got there my average was pretty high, but by the time I got to the dealer it was down to about 75mph. I still bet if they paid attention they'd think it was kinda high. /shrug

    Uh check out all the numbers:

    • distance: 2,000.0 miles
    • MPG: 23.5
    • speed: 124 mph
    They must have the optional 86 gallon tank model. Still that would be one way to go coast-to-coast in a little over 16 hours.
