I ordered a set of no name HIDs to test out on my car. I was able to put it in within 45 min. Everything seems to work well except the 35w 4500K bulb seems to have a weird tint. Rather than a true white, I was getting almost like a hazy white with green/yellow tint. I assume the color is just from cheap bulbs? Secondly, my biggest concern came with the HID cutoffs. The stock projectors seem to lack the cutoffs needed. They are botherline troublesome climbing hills and such. On flat grounds I am okay. Is that something that can be cure with brand name HID kits or should I go back to the halogens? How are other Prius owners getting away with this?

As far as the hill climbing.........that is something that will take getting use to. Projectors project the light down the road. When ur going up hills, the road starts to rise but the lights don't until u actually start going up the hill. There is no light above the cutoff so all u see is dark road where as with reflectors the light is scattered all over the road. Hope this is making sence.

As for the Prius cutoff......its not the best but its also not the worst.

If this is ur 1st car with projectors, its just going to take some time getting use to how the light is on a dark road & now that they have HIDs its some much more different than halogens.
