2007 prius 150000 miles. So standard stuff, triangle, dealer says hybrid battery and maybe battery control. More money than I can afford so ellect to do myself. Cells all read 8.5 except one at 7.19. Soo replace the low cell and hope? Car has been driven with the triangle on. Best chance with a new cell? Any inexpensive way to charge new cell to 8.5 and hope it balances out when things are running again?

there are threads here with complete information on buying and balancing new cells.
throw it in and hope has worked temporarily for some people, but nothing will last like a new battery.

There are many many posts about diy module replacement. "Just" replacing a module can work (at most for a few months) , it just seems to have a very low chance.

Mostly it just ends up with more codes. Then more modules and codes, in a fun game we call "whack a mole".
