New kid on the block here - I just bought a used, 1-owner 2010 Prius with nearly 200k on it. The previous owner had a hard time letting it go. All maintenance appears to have been done at the dealership. Mobil-1 oil changes and all. I plan on using it as a commuter since there is no way I can afford to commute in my Tundra with gas at these prices. I have to say I really like this car! I'm still on a learning curve, but this is a tight little machine!

I've already replaced the stock headlights with LEDs and I'll be looking to do some more minor mods with LED lighting, Fumoto drain plug, shark-fin antenna, fog light mod? And I'm shopping for a rear-view mirror with a built-in dash-cam and backup camera since I have the generic mirror and no navigation with the OEM camera set-up.

The previous owner said it burns a little oil so I may also look into the BG Products.

Looking forward to all of the wisdom available here.

What's the rate of oil burn per 1000 miles currently?

I haven't driven it but a few hundred miles so far. I'll have to top her off and get a base reading first.
