That code popped up on my car during during the polar vortex a couple weeks ago. Morning temps were in the -20’sF. I cleared the code twice and once temps came back up 20 degrees it has not occurred since. I attributed it to very cold oil and possibly a slightly worn timing chain but since it hasn’t returned I’m guessing its not something I’ll need to address anytime soon. The engine knocked pretty hard during those start cycles on those mornings. iPhone X ?
It's my son's car and he is out of state. A very cold state. Good news is, the light went off on its own. He has 133k on it. Thanks for the help and suggestions. I use the recommended oil weight, synthetic.
