I need some questions answered about installing subs. I'm not very knowledgable with this subject so it would be wonderful if you guys could help me out.
I want to install 2 12" kicker subs in my prius, with a legacy amp. I would like to know if I would be able to fit the 12"s (with a box as well) in the back, without the seats laying down. I also want a professional to do this, so I understand there might be a large amount of cash involved. Would I have to get a new dash to install everything or can the wires be run through the dash and everything be A okay?

You don't have to run any wires in your dash. A good installer will know how to tap the rear rspeakers for signal to your amp. The battery is located in the hatch area so no need to run any wires beyond the rear seat area. Install labor should cost no more than $200 unless you mount the amp in some fancy way. Parts may total up to $100 (amp wiring kit, line converter, etc.) if you get high end stuff.

F8L, would tapping into the rear speaker signal affect the radio unit & over heat it?

It shouldn't and I've never heard of such a thing happening when the line converter was properly installed.
