My Gen 2. 2007 Prius had a fuse go out the other day due to the Inverter cooling pump now my car will not sense the key FOB. Toyota tried to reprogram it and it wouldn’t take. I have to insert the FOB into the slot to drive the car. I also have no unlock ability other than the manual key.

I have no codes reported on my scanner. Should I purchase the 2 day techstream or is this a common problem?

    thanks

Did you or Toyota replace the AM2 fuse after replacing the inverter coolant pump? If the inverter pump has not been replaced yet, you will need to disconnect the pump before replacing the fuse.

You can disconnect the pump at the connection shown in the image below:

Yes I replaced the pump and installed a new fuse. Prior to that the car wouldn’t do anything. I think when the pump shorted out it took out something else.
