HELP removing rear T emblem... doing it today

so ive read on here that sliding a credit card between the rear emblem and paint will pop off the emblem, but i find this to be untrue. i was just outside with a cc half way behind that emblem, sliding it in just about every configuration i could imagine. towards the pegs, applying slight leverage to the card, twisting and turning all to no avail.

anyone have any other tips on how to remove this damn emblem?

im want it off so that i can get access to the plastic sheet with the blue glow that sits behind the emblem. i dipped everything on the car, but now im not really feeling the blue anymore. after applying a St. Louis Blues sticker i realized that the blues on the emblem and Stlblues logo are different and it looks sorta lame. my plan is to do the plastic sheet in charcoal plastidip to get more of a match with my winter grey factory paint. T emblems are dipped black. the front is super easy so im hoping i can the rear off w/out removing the inner hatch panel.

so again... how to i get this fuggin thing off of here???

 

well i figured it out. after taking off the front emblem i then noted the arrangement of the pegs and hoped the rear was the same... and it was. so from that i ciuld see where to push the card into the peg and it does indeed pop out fairly easily.

 

well the credit card did work for me. as soon as i knew where the tabs were it worked. i ended up dipping the plate in back in charcoal and left the Ts black. looks nice against the winter grey paint.

ill try your suggestion if and when i have to take it off again. thanks.
